Para todos aquellos fans del fenómeno Disney y, en especial de Demi Lovato, hoy es un gran día ya que es la fecha de puesta a la venta de Skyscraper.
Con este nombre la estrella Disney ha titulado el primer extracto de su tercer disco y cuyo estreno mundial tendrá lugar hoy en el show radiofónico de Ryan Seacrest.
No sólo hoy será un gran día, sino que no tendremos que esperar mucho para el videoclip, del que se estrenó un raquítico teaser la semana pasada.
Será mañana mismo cuando se ponga en circulación el vídeo oficial que firma, nada más y nada menos que Mark Pellington.
Aparte de tener una dilatada carrera rodando videoclips, desde el mítico One de U2 hasta el Hold My Hand de Michael Jackson, Pellington ha dirigido films como Mothman Prophecies, Arlington Road o el próximo remake norteamericano de El Orfanato de J.

Sobre el regreso musical de Demi Lovato, este Skyscraper va a contracorriente de tendencias actuales.
Alejada de temas de baile o electropop, Lovato apuesta por una balada que firma Toby Gad y que ha escrito ella misma con ayuda de la estonia Kerli.
El resultado es un pelín insulso, ya que como balada digamos que no rompe moldes, pero reconozco que me ha sorprendido por esa mezcla de fragilidad y solidez vocal.
