Uno de los discos más interesantes de este 2010, a pesar de que su acogida comercial no ha sido del todo buena, es el debut de la magnífica Janelle Monáe.
Con The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III) esta cantante norteamericana fusiona de una manera brillante el funk, retro soul y neo soul.
Esto viene a que acaba de estrenar un nuevo videoclip.
Se trata del de su segundo single Cold War para el que ha contado con la dirección de Wendy Morgan, anteriormente en videoclips de Gnarls Barkley, Dragonette, Bloc Party o el primer single de Monáe titulado Tightrope.
Partiendo de la base que Cold War me parece un temazo, el videoclip puedo decir que está a la altura.
Rectifico, me parece aún mejor.
Con la aparente sencillez de un único plano de la cara de Janelle, con lo complicado que es aguantarlo, la cantidad de sentimientos y sensaciones que transmite hace que podamos hablar de uno de los mejores videoclips del año.
