Para empezar la semanita os traigo una colaboración de lujo.
Por una parte tenemos al gran crooner jazz de los últimos tiempos, el canadiense Michael Bublé; y por otra, a una de las mejores formaciones funk y soul classic actuales, Sharon Jones and The Dap–Kings.
El tema en cuestión es la revisión que hacen del clásico de Dinah Washington y Brook Benton Baby, (You’ve Got What It Takes).
Aunque Michael Bublé ya lanzó hace un par de meses su Michael Bublé Meets Madison Square Garden, un CD/DVD recopilatorio en directo, ya está inmerso en su nuevo trabajo que saldrá en octubre de este mismo año y donde estará incluido este tema grabado en los DapTone Studios.
El álbum parece ser que traerá más temas originiales de los que nos tiene acostumbrados como el que será primer single, Haven’t Met You Yet.
Sobre el tema en cuestión, ya sé que los puristas lo tienen cruzaete y que tocar a Dinah Washington es sacrilegio, pero en mi opinión la unión de voces de Bublé y Sharon Jones empastan a la perfección y logran aquella complicidad del original que sumados a los musicazos que son The Dap–Kings, tenemos una muy buena versión.
