Snow Patrol: Called Out in the Dark, nueva canción y letra

Como se había anunciado desde Universal, ayer jueves 21 de julio era la fecha oficial de estreno de Called Out in the Dark, y así sucedió en primicia para los oyentes de la BBC Radio 1 de la mano de Zane Lowe.

Con este título, Snow Patrol vuelven al panorama discográfico con material nuevo, después del recopilatorio Up to Now de noviembre del 2009.

El sexto disco se espera para finales de año, pero antes tendremos un EP anticipo, el próximo 4 de septiembre a la venta, donde encontraremos este single.

Los escoceses se fueron hasta Topanga Canyon, Los Ángeles, para ponerse a las órdenes de Garrett Jacknife Lee, productor con quien ya habían trabajado anteriormente y cuyo nombre podemos encontrar en discos de gente como R.
E.
M, Bloc Party o U2.
Aparte de Jacknife, para este sexto disco Gary Lightbody recientemente reveló que para la composición le echó una mano nada más y nada menos que Michael Stipe, líder de R.
E.
M.
A pesar de tener un buen puñado de temas cañeros indie rock, mucha gente los sigue identificando con el baladón Chasing Cars.

Pues bien, parece que, al menos a juzgar por cómo suena este primer single, han querido pasarse al lado contrario con un tema donde destaca la base electrónica.
Aunque podría parecer a priori algo chocante, la efectiva producción de Jacknife y la hipnótica voz de Lightbody forman una combinación adictiva con reminiscencias ochenteras.
