Videoclip de 21st Century Breakdown de Green Day

Ayer se estrenó el último vídeo de Green Day, el de su cuarto single 21st Century Breakdown.
El tema está incluido en el primer acto de esta rock opera que es su octavo y homónimo álbum 21st Century Breakdown.
El vídeo está dirigido por Marc Webb que, aparte de firmar sus anteriores Waiting y 21 Guns, ha realizado vídeos para Weezer, Lenny Kravitz o Nelly, entre otros muchos.

Como curiosidad, Marc Webb tiene pendiente en nuestro país su primer largometraje (500) Días Juntos, una de las comedias indie de la temporada en Estados Unidos.
El vídeo mezcla en blanco y negro imágenes de la banda en directo con la historia de amor de una pareja y su contexto político social, punto de unión de todas las canciones del álbum.

No soy gran fan de Green Day, pero reconozco que es un mérito hacer un álbum rock opera con coherencia y los premios que se están llevando este 2009 así lo demuestran.
